Conflicts in the 21st century have forced qualitative changes in the way of training missionary personnel. Police forces are currently used in various joint operations, which include, among others, elements of the fight against terrorism, ensuring the security of civilians and training of security forces. New types of operations require corrected preparation systems. This article analyses the previous way of preparing such units as Individual Police Officers, Specialized Police Teams, Formed Police Units, as well as the issue related to the training modification proposal, and one of them is the implementation of the virtual game “Gaming for Peace” as a supplement to the training gap through modern and more effective training.

Shift2Rail jest formalnie ustanowionym Partnerstwem Publiczno-Prywatnym umożliwiającym zarządzanie działaniami w zakresie badań i innowacji wspierającymi podnoszenie poziomu usług kolejowych w Europie. Artykuł przedstawia strukturę organizacyjną i programową Wspólnego Przedsięwzięcia,jego członków, przewidziany budżet oraz wyłonione obszary tematyczne w 5 zakresach, w obrębie których poszukiwane są innowacyjne rozwiązania. Przedstawiono członkostwo strony polskiej w przedsięwzięciu oraz wskazano na otwartą możliwość udziału w Shift2Rail wszystkich zainteresowanych stron.

Shift2Rail is formally established Public-Private Partnership supporting the research and innovation activities to enhance the level of rail services in Europe. It is the only way to obtain the EU funds from H2020 for R&I projects dedicated exclusively to the railway sector. Article presents the organizational structure and program of the Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking, its members, budget and five thematic areas to deliver innovation solutions. It presents Polish engagement in the Initiative and outlines an open opportunity to participate in Shift2Rail to all stakeholders.
