Galilea to najbardziej wysunięty na północ obszar Ziemi Obiecanej. Od południa Galilea graniczy z Doliną Jizreel, a od północy z Libanem. Granicę zachodnią stanowi Morze Śródziemne, a wschodnią dolina Jordanu i jezioro Genezaret. Galilea dzieli się na Górną Galileę, której góry osiągają 1200 m n.p.m. oraz na Dolną Galileę, o znacznie niższych górach - o wysokości do 600 m n.p.m. Na terenie Galilei miało miejsce wiele wydarzeń, opisanych zarówno na kartach Starego jak i Nowego Testamentu. Znajduje się tutaj wiele historycznych obiektów, takich jak Kadesz, Akka, Seforis, Nazaret, Kana Galilejska, Góra Tabor i inne.

Galilea constitutes the most upper part of the Promised Land. It stretches from the Jizreel Valley on the south, to the Lebanon on the north and from the Mediterranean Sea on the west to the Jordan Valey and Lake Genezaret on the east. Galilea is divided into Upper Galilea with mountains up to 1200 m and on Lower Galilea with mountains lower than 600 m. On the Galilea territory a lot of the events described in the Old and New Testament occurred. In Galilea there are many historical places such as Kadesz, Akka, Sefforis, Kana, Tabor Mountain and others.
