Zapis zamrożonych ramek następuje ze zmienną zwłoką zależną od systemu, w jakim zostały zarejestrowane, charakteru uszkodzenia czy parametrów eksploatacyjnych pojazdu. Zwłoka ta bywa trudna do oszacowania, co nastręcza rekonstruktorom trudności przy kwalifikowaniu informacji z zamrożonej ramki jako przydatnej w procesie rekonstrukcji zdarzenia. W artykule zaproponowano metodę szacowania zwłoki rejestracji zamrożonej ramki opierającą się na wartości napięcia sieci pojazdu.

Freeze frames are recorded at a changeable delay dependent on the system in which they were recorded, type of failure or vehicle operation parameters. This delay is sometimes difficult to assess, which makes it difficult for the reconstructionists to qualify the data from the frozen frame as useful in the process of event reconstruction. In the paper a method of assessing the recording delay of a frozen frame based on the vehicle power voltage is proposed.

Jednym ze źródeł śladów cyfrowych jest wypadkowy rejestrator danych EDR. W Stanach Zjednoczonych istnieje uregulowany prawnie obowiązek montowania EDR w samochodach. W Europie nie ma natomiast żadnej regulacji prawnej, która nakładałaby taki obwiązek na producentów pojazdów. Ma to istotny wpływ na ilość, rodzaj i dostęp do rejestrowanych danych, ponieważ to od producentów zależy, czy dane są rejestrowane, a jeśli są, to czy można je odczytać. W artykule omówiono dane, jakie mogą być rejestrowane przez EDR oraz przedstawiono przykładowe odczyty danych z pojazdów różnych firm amerykańskich i europejskich.

One of the sources of electronic data is event data recorder EDR. Currently, the only country where EDR installation is compulsory is the United States of America, while in Europe there are no legal regulations that would impose such obligation on vehicle manufacturers. This has a significant impact on the quantity and type of recorded data because it is the manufacturers that decided whether data are recorded, and if they are, can they be retrieved. The article demonstrates which data are EDR recordable and provides examples of readouts of data from vehicles produced by American and European manufacturers.

The paper refers to the registration of road events by a modern device called EDR – black box for all types of the motor vehicles. The device records data concerning vehicle’s technical condition, the way it was driven and RTS. The recorder may be used in private and commercial cars, taxies, buses and trucks. The recorder may serve the purpose of a neutral witness for the police, courts and insurance firms, for which it will facilitate making the reconstruction of the road accidents events and will provide a proof for those who caused them. The device will bring efficient driving, which will significantly contribute to decreasing the number of road accidents and limiting the environmental pollution. In the end in the last year German parliament backed a proposal to the European Commission to put black boxes, which gather information from vehicles involved in accidents, in all the new cars from 2015 on.

Referat dotyczy pokładowego rejestratora zdarzeń (EDR) - czarnej skrzynki dla wszystkich typów pojazdów samochodowych. Urządzenie będzie rejestrować wiele danych nt. stanu technicznego pojazdu, sposobu jego prowadzenia oraz BRD. Rejestrator może być wykorzystany w samochodach osobowych, służbowych, taksówkach, autobusach, samochodach ciężarowych. Rejestrator może pełnić rolę neutralnego świadka dla policji, sądów i firm ubezpieczeniowych, którym ułatwi rekonstrukcję przebiegu wypadków drogowych i dostarczy dowodów na temat jego sprawców. Urządzenie przyczyni się do zgodnej z przepisami i ekonomicznej jazdy, co w znaczny sposób ograniczy liczbę wypadków drogowych oraz zanieczyszczenie środowiska.
