W artykule omówione zostały problemy dotyczące infrastruktury transportu drogowego Polski północno-wschodniej, przede wszystkim województw: mazowieckiego, warmińsko-mazurskiego i podlaskiego, na przykładzie międzynarodowego korytarza transportowego Via Baltica. Przedstawiono argumenty, że powstająca w tym korytarzu infrastruktura drogowa jest kluczowym czynnikiem bezpieczeństwa i rozwoju gospodarczego północno-wschodniej Polski oraz strategicznym elementem bezpieczeństwa naszych sojuszników z NATO i Unii Europejskiej: Litwy, Łotwy i Estonii.

Paper discussed problems of road transport infrastructure in Eastern Poland, especially voivodship: Mazovia, Podlaskie, Warminsko-Mazurskie. The arguments were presented that mentioned infrastructure is a safety factor of development of North-Eastern Poland.

W artykule omówione zostały problemy dotyczące infrastruktury transportu drogowego wschodniej Polski, w tym województw: mazowieckiego i lubelskiego, na przykładzie biegnącej przez te województwa autostrady A2. Przedstawiono argumenty, że powstająca w II Paneuropejski Korytarzu Transportowym infrastruktura drogowa jest kluczowym czynnikiem bezpieczeństwa i rozwoju gospodarczego wschodniej Polski a także istotnym elementem bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego, gospodarczego, społecznego i militarnego całego naszego kraju.

The article discusses problems related to the road transport infrastructure of Eastern Poland, including the following provinces: Mazowieckie and Lubelskie, on the example of the A2 motorway running through these provinces. Arguments were presented that the road infrastructure emerging in the Pan-European Transport Corridor II is a key factor in the security and economic development of Eastern Poland and an important element of our country's economic, social and military security.

W artykule omówiona została kwestia transportu intermodalnego oraz jego znaczenia w przewozach tranzytowych w Polsce. Poruszony został temat europejskich korytarzy transportowych, które biegną przez teren Polski oraz budowanej drogi Via Carpatia. Powstająca droga znacząco wzbogaci i uatrakcyjni tereny wschodniej Polski, przez które ma przebiegać. Niezwykle istotnym w tej kwestii staje się fakt istnienia infrastruktury liniowej i punktowej transportu drogowego na tych terenach. Poruszony został temat występowania oraz liczby terminali przeładunkowych na terenie kraju.

The article discusses the issue of intermodal transport and its importance in transit transport in Poland. It was discussed European transport corridors that run through the area of Polish and built the Via Carpatia. The resulting route more attractive and significantly enrich the eastern Polish territories, which is to run through. Extremely important in this regard is the existence of linear and point infrastructure of road transport in these areas. It was discussed the prevalence and the number of terminals in the country.

The Pan-European Transport Corridor III serves as potentially important linkage bringing together countries of Intermarum region, namely Poland, Germany and Ukraine in the parallel perspective. At the same time it seems that its role in being a passage leading to Asia may be questioned in the context of historically created transport networks that have played an important role in shaping the history of Europe and of the world. It does not mean, however, that it does not play an important role from Poland's geopolitical perspective.

Legnica airbase is one of the oldest objects of that type at Lower Silesia (Dolny Śląsk) district. It has been built before WW I as an airfield for German aeronautic service. During years 1944-1993, Legnica airbase was used by Soviet Army as air transport base for local command of Warsaw Pact forces. Next Legnica airbase was overtaken by Polish local authority which unfortunately didn't have concrete and definite plans of using that airport, although it has excellent location due to industry and logistic infrastructure. In result, during 1990. Legnica airport (ICAO code: EPLE) was used rather rarely, and sometimes handled light sport or business air traffic. At present in conditions of European Union (especially in case of III Pan European Transport Corridor), Legnica airport can be very useful.

W artykule zostanie przedstawiony rys historyczny kreowania europejskich korytarzy transportowych oraz rola Środkowoeuropejskiego Korytarza Transportowego -CETC w kreowaniu infrastruktury europejskiego systemu transportowego w nowych uwarunkowaniach po 01.05.2004 r.

The aim this paper is to present a importance of the Central European Transport Corridor which is a natural transport link between Scandinavia and countries of the region Mediterranean Sea and Balkans and Near East as part of the European Transport Network. In this paper is present a historic outline of origination of European transport corridors and a importance of the Central European Transport Corridor as part of the European Transport Network.
