The paper deals with some aspects of the fracture resistance of mismatched weld joints. At first was made characteristic of classical Engineering Treatment Model (ETM). Conclusions from the theoretical analysis farm some basis for the application of constraint factors KunW , KovW to an assessment of the fracture parameters. For example, there an assessment of the ratio of driving forces δR for over- and undermatching cases were made. Furthermore, some analytical examples were presented.
