Rozwój urbanistyczny stolicy Danii, Kopenhagi, od lat 90. odbywający się pod presją funkcji metropolitalnych regionu europejskiego Duża Kopenhaga & Skania, przyspieszył tempo, koncentrując się na reurbanizacji terenów poportowych. Kopenhaga jest w czołówce miast najskuteczniej przeobrażających nabrzeża. Rozwój obszarów poportowych przebiega z zachowaniem ich tożsamości. Powstają obiekty znaki, architektura o wysokiej klasie, spektakularna, łącząca wiele funkcji.

Copenhagen, as urban capital of Denmark, has been developing rapidly since 1990-ies under the pressure of the metropolitan functions of the European Region Copenhagen & great Skane, focusing on the port territories’ reconstruction. Copenhagen is in the forefront of cities, which are the most effective in the embankments’ evolution. Former ports are moving towards the realization of architecture of high quality, construction of spectacular sites and landmarks, the combination of functions and preserving the identity of the city port.
