W poprzednim numerze magazynu Infrastruktura Transportu zamieszczona została pierwsza część artykułu przedstawiająca wybrane aspekty łączności w systemie GSM-R, które projektant systemu ERTMS/ETCS poziomu 2 (ETCS2) powinien wziąć pod uwagę. W tym numerze prezentujemy kolejną jego część.

The paper is the second part of the article (published in the previous issue of Infrastruktura Transportu) presenting the selected aspects of communication in GSM-R, which should be taken into account by the designer of ERTMS/ETCS2. The designing of the system is not an easy task. The experience of rail management is not enough yet to develop complete designing procedures.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane aspekty łączności w systemie GSM-R, które projektant systemu ERTMS/ETCS poziomu 2 (ETCS2) powinien wziąć pod uwagę. Omówiono charakterystyki i aspekty jakościowe (Quality of Service) łączy GSM-R/ETCS2 oraz wybrane zagadnienia planowania radiowego dla tego systemu.

The article presents the selected aspects of communication in the Global System for Mobile Communication - Rail (GSM-R), which a designer of the ERTMS/ETCS system level 2 (ETCS2) should take into account. The characteristics and the Quality of Service aspects of the GSM-R/ETCS2 connections, as well as the selected issues of the radio planning for the system have been described.
