W pracy przedstawiono efekty wieloletniej działalności jej autorów w zakresie opracowania polskich tworzyw na podkładki fundamentowe oraz nowoczesnej technologii posadawiania maszyn i urządzeń na fundamentach z ich użyciem. Omówiono techniczne, ekonomiczne i eksploatacyjne aspekty stosowania podkładek fundamentowych w posadawianiu maszyn i urządzeń. Na podstawie badań porównawczych wyjaśniono, dlaczego podkładki fundamentowe odlewane z tworzywa w posadowieniach maszyn, lepiej spełniają swoje zadania techniczne niż tradycyjnie stosowane do tego celu podkładki stalowe.

The paper presents the results of a Iong-term activity of the authors in the development of Polish resin compounds intended for foundation chocks and modern mounting technology of machines and devices on foundations with their use. The technical, economic and operational aspects of the use of foundation chocks in the machinery seating are discussed. Based on comparative studies it has been explained why foundation chocks cast of resin in machinery seating on the foundations, better fulfill their technical tasks than the traditionally used for this purpose steel chocks.

Assembling of bearing sleeve on ship propulsion shaft by using EPY resin compound

This paper presents an original novel solution of the problem of assembling a large bearing sleeve (of about 1000 mm in diameter) on ship propulsion shaft by using EPY resin compound. The problem is discussed on the concrete example dealing with a ship under repair. Design project of assembling the sleeve on the shaft by using the resin compound, model research on its casting process as well as assembling technology of the sleeve on the shaft, are presented and a practical way of realization of the project in conditions of a Chinese ship repair yard, is also highlighted. During more than three-year-long operation the solution has standed the test of time without any complaint.
