Short description of GPS (Global Positioning System) and its differential mode is presented in this article. Proposal of modernization and some changes to the system construction itself are also included in this paper in accordance to LNG gas tankers needs and requirements which will enter Świnoujście LNG Terminal in nearest future.

The accuracy estimation method of determining the position coordinates of temporary navigation systems is well known both in navigation and geodesy as well. The estimation of errors measurements statistics being the random variables enables evaluation some probabilities which are measures of accuracy of the position systems. There are presented the suggestion of three new measures of accuracy of determining the coordinates related to reliability characteristics in that article. In contrast to the common applied approach in which the single measurement error is a random variable, in the presented here approach the distributions of working times and times of failures were taken under statistics estimation. The model of availability was detailed presented. Is enabled to define some new statistics measures related to the navigational solution. Proposed method were applied to DGPS system position statistics, where two campaign (2005, 2009) were compared.

W artykule zaproponowano trzy nowe charakterystyki dokładnościowe odniesione do charakterystyk niezawodnościowych. W przeciwieństwie do aktualnego podejścia proponowany model odnosi zmienne losowe do czasów pracy i awarii systemu. Model dostępności został zaprezentowany w sposób szczegółowy. Proponowane podejście umożliwia zdefiniowanie nowych statystyk odniesionych do procesu nawigacji. Opracowana metoda została zastosowana do rozwiązań pozycyjnych systemu DGPS, gdzie porównano dwie kampanie pomiarowe z lat: 2005 i 2009.

Content available remote DGPS with the use of two reference stations
EN
The paper presents Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) post processing positioning with the use of two reference stations at the same time. The traditional DGPS is based on one reference/base station. The paper shows that when we use, simultaneously, two reference stations we can analyze distribution of pseudorange corrections over time and model them. Two reference stations used in DGPS positioning give redundant observations thanks to which we can estimate more realistic accuracy of positioning. The paper shows that the use of two reference stations improves DGPS accuracy.

Content available remote Determination of accuracy and coverage of permanent reference station (DGPS/RTK)
EN
The paper describes the experiment performed in Gdynia in January - February 2003. Permanent reference station in Gdynia equipped with Ashtech Z-FX receiver and Satel 3 AS-Epic radiomodem was used. The corrections were transmitted in the RTCM format. In the project over 30 control points were chosen for testing of accuracy and coverage of DGPS/RTK corrections. The measurement sessions lasted about one hour for each of the control points. The internal memory card of the receiver stored raw observation data (B,E,S-files) as well as C-file with RTK positions (1 second interval). The comparisons between static and real time GPS positioning results as well as catalogue coordinates of control points derived with classical techniques were done. The obtained results were discussed and conclusions for real time satellite positioning using Gdynia DGPS/RTK permanent rererence station are presented.

Content available remote A mathematical model of DGPS corrections
EN
The paper presents a mathematical model of DGPS correction and their weights in post processing positioning when we use two reference stations at the same time. The traditional DGPS is based on one reference/base station. It has been shown that the accuracy of thet positioning is about 1-2 meters in dependence of a number of satellites and value of PDOP (Position Dilution of Precision). The paper shows that when we use, simultaneously, two reference stations we can analyze distribution of pseudorange corrections over time and model them. Two refernce stations used in DGPS positioning give redunndant observations and allow to estimate more realistic accuracy of positioning.

One of the most important components, which should be taken into account while design process of stablishing the aids to navigation, is the estimation of the optimal position of the position-fixing marks. There are various methods of estimation of the optimal coordinates in dependence of optimisation criteria i.e.: -minimalizing a position error -maximizing a navigational-system-operation zone The quite new problem is the optimization of the location of aids to navigation in dependence of its availability for ships being in the given sea area. This paper proposes the optimization method of location of autonomous element of the aids to navigation in dependence of the aid`s availability for ships being in the given seaarea. This method can be used while stimation of the optimal position of a DGPS reference station. The author has tested this method using the simulated DGPS refernce - station on the middle Poland`s sea coast.

All aircraft intending to operate in the EUR RSVM Aispace, expect State aircraft, shall require an Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum approval issued by the responsible authority. To obtain such an approval, aircraft operators will have to satisfy the requirements set out in Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) Temporary Guidance Leaflet No 6 (TGL6), which require: *that aircraft for which RVSM Approval is sought have the vertical navigation performance capability required for RVSM operations through compliance with the criteria of the RVSM Minimum Aircraft System Performance Specification (MASPS) *that, they have instituted procedures for continued airworthiness (maintenanceand repair) practices *that they have instituted flight crew procedures for operations in the EUR RVSM Airspace A comrehensive means of monitoring the height - keeping performance of aircraft has been developed utilising two types of equipment: *Height Monitoring Units - static height monitoring facilities *GPS Monitoring Units - portable monitoring ubits on board aircraft The paper present select problems connected of Polish Air-System RTK DGPS in EUR RVSM Programme. Reached results became during air - tests in years 1995-2001.

The 2nd International Workshop on Satellite Navigation in CEI Area, Olsztyn, 3-5 July, 2000, follows the first one, hold in Trieste in March 1999. Thanks to a large participation, the overview of the DGPS activity in the CEI area has suggested some immediate international experimental activity with the purpose to design the best radio transmission facility for the real time accurate positioning. Till now the activity has joined researchers from Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Poland. The paper refers the principal steps and results of the activity and some perspective for the future. Details on the various experiments have been given by Doeller and others in the Italy-Poland Geodetic Meeting, Cracow, July 29-30, 2000.

Content available remote DGPS with Navi GSM
EN
The GPS system may be applied in numerous branches of state economy, service sector, navigation as well as in surveying projects as an inexpensive and highly reliable system providing near real time positioning at 1m level of accuracy. DGPS corrections generated by the permanent base station could fulfill the needs of the system users all over a medium size European country wherever the GSM signal is available. The tests conducted at the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography with DGPS with Navi GSM show the wide spectrum of usefulness of the system.
