Applied landscape approach to the study of the rivers channel of the Ukrainian Carpathians and outlined contend of the notion channel geosystem that is regarded as an object of a new scientific direction namely landscape hydrology. The upper reaches basins of the Prut and the White Tysa rivers were taken as an examples for the analysis of landscape structure, channel geosystems’ construction and hydromorphology of river channels in the Czarnohora Mountains. Research conduct on comparative analysis of channel geosystems and massif ’s landscape systems within model basins and suggested genetic classification of the channel geosystems according to the landscape altitudinal terrain. The cartographical models using the GIS technology have been prepared. They represent different aspects of the Czarnohora channel geosystems structure and their morphodynamic activity. The comparative analysis of channel geosystems of the upper reach of Prut and White Tysa rivers have been presented.
