One of the determinants of regional development is unemployment. Knowledge of number of unemployed, their characteristics like gender, age, education, time of being registered in District Labour Office or reason of unregistering may be favourable to increase the knowledge about the job demand-induce side in the region. Analysis presented in the paper was carried out using the resources of computer system for Labour Offices (PULS) and Statistics 7 program. Analysis would be considerably difficult (large number of observations) or even impossible to carry out (obtaining individual data) without these computer tools.
