W artykule zaprezentowano przegląd dostępnych na rynku rodzajów zewnętrznych cięgien sprężających, opisując zarówno ich zalety, jak też wady i ograniczenia.

Durability of external tendons is becoming an increasingly important aspect for bridges built in Poland over the last 20 years. Several corrosion issues have been experienced. The majority of tendons are composed of bare strands in a HDPE duct filled with cement grout. This paper presents corrosion protection strategies as defined in fib Bulletin 97 and examples of external tendons representing different protection levels within their classification. Advantages and disadvantages of specific PT systems are evaluated, so that the reader may choose the solution suitable for their particular case.
