Przedstawiono funkcję, algorytm oraz model danych umożliwiający integrację różnych domen danych, a co za tym idzie prac w całym cyklu rozwoju produktu.

This paper describes the issue of integration of the various departments of the company in the development and management of product structure. In particular, the issue of the integration of works and change management is presented in the area of design and process planning. Presented function, algorithm and data model enabling integration of different data domains, and thus the work within the entire product development cycle.

The article presents a modern BOM R16-type blind bolts in application to bar structures made of cold-formed steel sections. The BOM-type blind bolts – approved for application in Poland – allow to connect the walls of open sections to economic tubular (rectangular) sections without gusset plates at trusses nodes.They are also used in designing of closely- spaced built-up bars. Proposed theoretical models describing behaviour of the considered members were experimentally verified.

There is described the attempt to identify an alternative – to the European Recommendations concerning the testing of connections with mechanical fasteners in steel sheeting and sections – method of determining the carrying capacity of single-cut lap-joints with the unilateral BOM type bolts.

According to requirements of the market a great number of small companies are forced to offer a wide variety of products and to frequently respond to the market with customized solutions. At the same time, the fast delivery of products is often key to winning orders. Recent developments in Information Technology have made product family manufacturing available for small companies. It is made possible by applying a class of software tools called product configurations which can be integrated with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. For configurable products, due to the number of options for implementation, the process of data preparation requires special care so that not to be too time-consuming and likely to be realized in production practice. This article presents problem of product identification, customizable product modeling, user interface issues, the algorithmic generating of bill of materials and routing processes based on the options specified by the B2B system users and data flow in the operational management. The decision framework of product family design and development along the entire spectrum of product realization according to the concept of design domains. Product family decision-making involves a series of "what how" mappings between these domains. Managing product families consisting of a large set of product variants as configurable products requires defining a configuration model. The concepts and modeling guidelines for them were validated with success in SME for roller shutters. Information system support is necessary for modeling products, particularly for a configuration available on the Internet for B2B partners. In addition to having a good understanding of the product, a designer should be familiar with object oriented modeling. The main benefit there would be improving communication within the product development team and to other departments in the company, e.g. sales. The benefits also include the use of additional functions provided by the knowledge database, structure and the related design constraints during the product development. The method was validated in the conditions of best practice production for unit and small batch production.

The purpose of my presentation is to show applicability of Z-notation to system requirements specification using as an example the so called engine of one of the biggest system developed for industrial application known as MRP II Standard System. The engine is described by D.V. Landvater & C.D Gray, [7] pp. 199-250. The MRP II algorithms are still used in Enterprise Resource Planning software.

Celem publikacji, jest pokazanie przydatności notacji Z, na przykładzie opisu wymagań na standardowy system MRP II. Centralna część powyższego systemu, zwana dalej silnikiem MRP II, opracowana i opublikowana przez D.V. Landvater & C.D Gray, (1989), “MRP II Standard System, Oliver Wight Publications, Inc., USA VT”, jest przykładem jednego z największych objętościowo wymagań – napisanych dla aplikacji przemysłowych. Należy zauważyć, że opublikowane algorytmy są nadal używane w systemach ERP. Ograniczone ramy publikacji – prezentują jedynie wybrane elementy formalnego opisu wymagań na standardowy system MRPII.
