Human nature, social values and structure of needs constitute the basis of the aesthetics therefore the integrated understanding of the individual and his vital activity is reflected in modern design. Relevance of this research lies in the development of an urban environment typology from the subjectivity point of view. This theme is considered in systemic integrity (human – society – humanity - biological species), which allows to identify the nature of the aesthetic measures. Subsequently, the following generalized types of environment are distinguished: naturecentric, anthropocentric, sociocentric and integrated. As a result, the research identifies the main tasks and key issues of reconstruction and humanization of the environment.

Autorka formułuje tezę, iż ochrona środowiska otaczającego przestrzeń transportu drogowego obejmuje działania wspomagające estetykę tej przestrzeni i prowadzące do poprawy jej odbioru wizualnego. Nurt ochrony środowiska transportu poprzez dbałość o jego walory wizualne to rozwijające się pole badań w środowiskach naukowych i branżowych zainteresowanych problematyką zrównoważonego rozwoju transportu. Autorka referatu przedstawia swe rozważania dotyczące ocen estetyki na bazie metod wizualizacji, zarówno w klasycznym ujęciu dwuwymiarowej perspektywy linearnej, jak i w formie inteligentnych czterowymiarowych cyfrowych modeli wirtualnej przestrzeni. Przedstawiono charakterystyki wizualizacji przestrzeni transportu i jej percepcji w aspekcie estetyki, określono zakres i perspektywy nauki wizualizacji, w końcu podjęto próbę określenia kierunku rozwoju wizualizacji w transporcie miejskim.

Author claims that protection of transport space environment covers all actions which enhance aesthetics of this space and which upgrades its visual properties. Protection of transport environment which is realized in a constant care of visual effect, creates a new approach to transport sustainable development research. The considerations on aesthetical evaluation in transportation are presented based on visualization methods, first at classical two-dimensional approach of linear perspective and finally in form of four-dimensional intelligent digital models of virtual space. Transport environment visualization characteristics and their perception in relation to aesthetic properties are studied, also the new emerging science of visualization is described, and finally the future directions of visualization in urban transportation development are predicted.
