Modelowanie i symulacja procesów biznesowych to obszar, który w ciągu ostatnich lat zaczął mieć ogromne znaczenie i cieszy się coraz większym zainteresowaniem. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przybliżenie czytelnikom wiedzy na temat modelowania procesów biznesowych w narzędziach Aurea BPM i ARIS w zakresie procesu „dochodzenie epidemiologiczne”. Niniejszy artykuł ma ponadto na celu przedstawienie, w jaki sposób modelowanie i symulacja procesów biznesowych wspierają przedsiębiorstwo w tworzeniu zintegrowanego systemu przetwarzania informacji. W artykule zaprezentowano skutki oraz zmiany, które mogą wystąpić w organizacji po wdrożeniu procesów biznesowych.

Modelling and simulation of business processes is an area that in the recent years began to have greater importance and has been becoming more and more popular. The purpose of this article is to familiarise readers with knowledge on modelling of business processes in the Aurea BPM and ARIS tools in the process of an epidemiological inquiry. This article also aims to show how modelling and simulation of business processes support the company in developing integrated information processing system. The article presents the effects of the implementation of business processes, including changes that may occur in the organisation.

This research paper presents an attempt to assess available IT tools supporting process management, namely Aris, Adonis, iGrafx and IBM BPM. It was indicated that the basic functionality of these tools is similar, but while using the same tools for modeling more complex cases there are substantial differences in the capabilities of description and simulation of economic processes.

W artykule przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania rozwiązań IT w procesie wdrażania koncepcji Balanced Scorecard (BSC). Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na oprogramowanie ARIS firmy IDS Scheer wykorzystywane w zarządzaniu procesami biznesowymi przez wiele przedsiębiorstw na całym świecie. Omówiono moduł ARIS BSC, stanowiący element środowiska ARIS zawierający wszystkie narzędzia potrzebne w procesie zarządzania strategicznego.

Possibilities of solutions IT using in the process of putting into practice of conception Balanced Scorecard (BSC) are presented. Particular attention is invited to the software ARIS of IDS Scheer company used in business processes management by many enterprises all over the world. Module ARIS BSC, being an element of environment including all the tools necessary in the strategic management process, is discussed.
