The scientific information computer system at the library of the Technical University of Gdansk is presented. The system includes: computer system for catalogue information and publication supply, APIS-ZB; information system on scientific research at the Technical University of Gdansk, APIS-NB; and network system for provision of databases on CD-ROM InfoWare, CD/HD. The basic system functions, as well as the prospects of their development are presented. The problem of using the Internet as an information source and supply tool is discussed. Common tasks of libraries at technical universities in Poland which would facilitate scientific information transfer between them, are stressed.
