Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wad i zalet metody ABC/XYZ wykorzystywanej w procesie zarządzania zapasami. W artykule, na podstawie otrzymanych danych, została przeprowadzona analiza ABC, XYZ oraz stworzona macierz ABC/XYZ i Kraljica. Celem przedstawionej analizy jest usprawnienie pracy działu zajmującego się wytwarzaniem oraz magazynowaniem asortymentu poprzez określenie strategii zakupu dla poszczególnych grup. W wyniku klasyfikacji otrzymano podział towarów na grupy asortymentowe wraz ze wskazaniem strategii uzupełniania niedoborów.

The aim of presented work is indicate the importance and function of classification ABC/XYZ used in inventory management process and determining the impact of the discussed concept on the functioning of the enterprise. Based on the received data, the ABC and XYZ analyzes were carried out. The ABC analysis was aimed at improving the work of the department involved in the production and storage of the assortment by defining a purchase strategy for individual groups. In addition, it allows to focus attention on sensitive elements. As a result of the ABC/XYZ classification, the division of goods into product groups was obtained along with the shortage strategy.

This paper describes a methodology for inventory analysis and reduction, which was developed at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zilina. The methodology describes the optimal procedure for the application of basic analytical methods and tools in practice. The results of the analysis are in the algorithm linked to the subsequent actions realized to improve inventory management system and to minimize inventory level in the company. Described procedure is the result of methodology examination and verification in practical conditions of production enterprises. In the following sections of this paper, there are presented a comprehensive approach to the inventory analysis and the own algorithm, which contains 3 phases: inventory analysis on enterprise level, summary analysis of individual item groups and individual analysis of material items. In the last section, there are described examples of results from such analysis and conclusions. The presented approach is an attempt to create a universal procedure of analysis which integrates methods and tools described in various publications.

W artykule przeprowadzono klasyfikację zapasów wyrobów gotowych wybranej spółdzielni mleczarskiej według analizy ABC/XYZ. Następnie w zależności od klasyfikacji wyrobów gotowych zaproponowano metody odnawiania zapasów oraz lokalizację zapasów w magazynie.

In the article, the authors conducted an analysis of the inventory management in dairy cooperative. There was presented ABC and XYZ methods to stocks"classification. The results of ABC/XYZ analysis allowed to choose appropriate methods of stock renewing in dairy cooperative.
