Generalized dimension - Dq and its "derivative" - f(alpha) is considered as a diagnostic tool for structure-morphology analysis of 2D images. The conditions for different shapes, placements and roots of f(aplpha) are presented and discussed.

The representation of phantom surface is necessary for development of engineering techniques for constructing shapes of clothes. (The phantoms are widely used in clothing science as a model of human body). This is confirmed by large number of publications from many research institutes [1,2]. At the Department of Clothing Technology and Measuring Systems, Technical University of Łódź, the new method of digital representation of phantom surface was developed [4].
