W artykule przedstawiono analizę i ocenę możliwości wdrożenia koncepcji życia wspieranego przez otoczenie na przykładzie realizacji kabin sanitarnych w wybranych systemach wielkopłytowych. Przedstawiono również genezę tematyki „starzejącego się” społeczeństwa w Polsce oraz potencjalne konsekwencje, jakie będą z tego wynikały dla budownictwa. Opisane zostały także wymagania, jakim powinny odpowiadać pomieszczenia sanitarne, w zakresie montażu w nich standardowych urządzeń przystosowanych do potrzeb osób starszych i niepełnosprawnych. Przeprowadzona ocena możliwości zastosowania rozwiązań ułatwiających użytkowanie pomieszczeń sanitarnych została przedstawiona z użyciem trzystopniowej skali ocen, tj. wykonalne, trudno wykonalne i niewykonalne.

The article presents a possibility analysis and evaluation of the implementation possibilities of the ambient assisted living concept for selected rooms, including sanitary cabins in panel building systems W-70, Szczeciński, and OWT-67. The genesis of the term “aging” society in Poland and the potential consequences that will result from this for the construction industry are also presented. Additionally, the requirements that should be met by sanitary rooms in the scope of assembly of standard devices adapted to the needs of elderly and disabled are also described. The assessment of the applicability of improvement solutions for the presented sanitary facilities equipment has included a gradual gradation of ratings, i.e. implementable, difficult-to-implement and unimplementable.

This paper brings up the issue of population aging and its influence on designing and construction of buildings in Poland. It also touches the problem of adaptation of existing facilities to the needs of the elderly and the disabled. Moreover, current trends in Polish demographics and possible outlook for the next 45 years has been presented. The author presents the current legal state concerning rules and regulations on the aspects of adjusting the buildings and their parts to the needs of the disabled. Additionally, the dimensions and the areas of movement for the disabled as well as the primary functional and requirements for bathrooms have been described. In the next paragraph, a concept of Ambient Assisted Living with examples of sanitary equipment for use in residential buildings has been propose.

Niniejszy artykuł porusza zagadnienie procesu starzenie się społeczeństwa i wpływu tego zjawiska na projektowanie i wykonywanie obiektów budowlanych w Polsce oraz adaptacje obecnie istniejących budynków dla potrzeb osób niepełnosprawnych i starszych.
