Protection of a human body in a cold environment requires a clothing thermal insulation fitting in dependence of environment conditions and work intensity. Difficulties in the selection of that kind of clothing result from changeable work conditions and not uniform needs of individuals exposed to a cold environment. In the article assumptions of a structure of the protective clothing set of modular construction and with varied thermal insulation adjusted to thermal zones of the human body were presented. Different thermal environments and a gender of workers were taken into account. This kind of construction solution gives a possibility to choose a proper thermal insulation of clothing by indiyiduals working in the cold environment.
