In the paper the method of estimation of cutting ability of superhard grinding wheels during grinding process are presented. Cutting ability of grinding wheels is evaluated during a few-second grinding test of special tester (thermocouple), outside the area of the workpiece processing. The indicators of cutting ability: linear decrement and temperature during this test are recorded. The measurement equipment used for recording of these indicators and experimental results connected with assesment of cutting ability of grinding wheel for different dressing conditions are also presented.

W pracy przedstawiono metodę oceny stanu zdolności skrawnych ściernic supertwardych w procesie szlifowania. Zdolność skrawna ściernic jest oceniania w kilkunastosekundowym teście szlifowania specjalnego testera (termopary), usytuowanego poza strefą obróbki przedmiotów. Wskaźnikiem oceny zdolności skrawnej są rejestrowane w trakcie testu ubytek liniowy i temperatura szlifowania testera. Zaprezentowano urządzenie pomiarowe do rejestracji tych wskaźników oraz wyniki badań dotyczące oceny właściwości skrawnych ściernicy w zróżnicowanych warunkach obciągania.
