Celem artykułu jest prześledzenie makro- i mikroekonomicznych czynników mających znaczenie dla integrowania się firm sektora TSL. Czynniki te wyłoniono na podstawie analizy literatury przedmiotu i badań empirycznych przeprowadzonychw przedsiębiorstwach sektora TSL, które weszły w skład Śląskiego Klastra Logistycznego lub zgłosiły akces przyłączenia się.

The aim of this article is to identify the factors affecting the integration of the TSL sector with particular emphasis on the aspect of clustering transport, freight forwarding and logistics within the Silesia region. This article presents a SWOT analysis prepared based on the literature studies and empirical research (research method - focused interview with managers of companies which belong to the Silesian Cluster of Logistics and those reporting the desire to join the SCL). The following conclusions have been drawn based upon the analysis: • The integration of regional companies of the TSL sector is necessary and inevitable. • There are factors that enable and inhibit the integration. • The sector itself has strengths and weaknesses that affect the process of clustering.
