Large overall dimensions, tilting multi-pad journal bearings are applied in the hydro-generating power plants. The power loss of such bearings are comparatively high and can be determined on the basis of the equations of hydrodynamic theory of lubrication, i.e. Reynolds', energy, viscosity. This paper considers the power loss of the tilting multi-pad journal bearing of large overall dimensions. Applied code of calculations allows obtaining the power loss at different design parameters of bearing.
