An excavation dug out in the glacially transported rock masses at Golaszyn near Łuków (eastern Poland), revealed the presence of deposits unknown so far in this area. These are older than the only known so far here glacially transported clays containing concretions with splendidly preserved ammonites of late Callovian at Łapiguz brickyard of Łuków. The succession exposed consists of sands and sandstones of Middle Callovian age which rest on red-brownish clays. The latter may be compared with the Triassic - Buntsandstein deposits of the northwestern Lithuania, that is the home area of glacially transported rock masses, commonly occurring in eastern Poland in the Łuków area. The new geological discoveries markedly increase a set of attractions for the promotion of the Łuków region for the education and geotourism purposes.

The paper deals with the study of the Middle Jurassic clays near the town of Łuków, to identify its position, depth and thickness defined using geoelectrical techniques. The electrical properties of the ground were determined by a non-invasive 2D Resistivity Imaging Method which involves the investigation of the distribution of resistivity in the ground in X and Z direction. The measurements were carried out on four survey profiles that allowed to distinguish the horizontal and vertical extent of the Jurassic raft. It is not regular, but represents a more complicated structure. The values of resistivity, identified with the Jurassic clays, were very low and reached about 1-20 Q,m, which allowed interpreting, on each resistivity cross-section, its thickness changing from a few metres up to tens of metres.

Artykuł obejmuje analizę pierwotnie oraz współcześnie stosowanych na stacji Łuków urządzeń sterowania ruchem kolejowym, tj. po 2013 roku. Przedstawiono charakterystyki urządzeń srk wykonanych w technologii przekaźnikowej i komputerowej. Ponadto przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą usterkowości urządzeń stacyjnych, która ukazuje zależności występujące między stosowanymi rozwiązaniami technologicznymi w różnym okresie istnienia stacji w Łukowie.

The article discusses the analysis of the railway traffic control devices used initially and currently at the railway station in Łuków i.e. after 2013. There are presented characteristics of the railway traffic control devices which are made in the relay and computer technology. In addition, a comparative analysis of the railway station devices failure was performed which shows the relationships between the applied technological solutions at different times of the railway station existence in Łuków.
