This article covers the use of a bowtie planar antenna for energy harvesting, covering the range between 900 MHz and 1000 MHz. The same converter circuit was compared connected to a wire dipole antenna, with the same size of the bowtie. Co and cross polarizations of the incoming wave were tested. The inclusion of a reflector to both dipole and bowtie was evaluated, and it proved superior performance in terms of sensitivity.
