In the article authors undertook the problem of the capture of the carbon dioxide originating from combustion gases emitted to the atmosphere from energy plant. In the process of CO2 capture from energy-systems there were used techniques of CO2 absorption from processes concurrent with the chemical reaction. The initial part of the article shows the aim to limit CO2 emission due to increasing greenhouse gas effect and connected with that constraint for the Polish energetic. In the second part the attention was directed to liquid sorbents used in the process of the chemical absorption of CO2 - methylamine CH3NH2 and the water ammonia NH3. In the final part of the article there is a description of current technique of the carbon dioxide capture from simulated combustion gases on designed to that purpose experimental setup, there are also presented experimental findings. Findings also infer from the comparative analysis of the sorption of CO2 on two liquid sorbents from which it can be concluded that the capacity of the sorption of C 0 2 for the NH3 solution equals 0,122 kg CO2/ kg sol., while for the methylamine solution the capacity of the sorption of CO2 equals 0,069 kg CO2/kg sol. at the concentration of solvents equal 16% by mass in similar conditions of the process.
