The article deals with design criterion of structure detail of underground parts of buildings at sloping fields in the point of view of hydro-insulation technique. In innovation and reconstruction of older and historical buildings, it's important to pay a higher attention to the additional removal of moisture from masonry of the ground floor and the basement of the building. New technologies are sometimes in those cases misused and cause more damage. This article is based on research assignment VEGA 1/5067/98.
