In this article there were described the main features of the existing technology of the transportation management with its drawbacks and given the analysis of the possible ways of the estimation of its effectiveness. In order to choose the optimal route through the far-flung network there was suggested the method which is based on the theory of graphs and flows in networks. The essence of this method is that the track plan is being interpreted as the graph with the corresponding traffic capacity on its bows.

W referacie opisano główne cechy obecnie stosowanej technologii zarządzania transportem kolejowym na Ukrainie. Przedstawiono wady stosowanej technologii oraz zaprezentowano analizę możliwych sposobów oceny jej efektywności. W celu wybrania optymalnej trasy w rozległej sieci transportowej zaproponowano metodę bazującą na teorii grafów i przepływach w sieciach. Głównym założeniem metody jest interpretacja planu ruchu jako grafu z nadanymi odpowiednimi przepustowo ciami na łukach.
