Using macrophytes as trophic state indicators in upland river waters: a case study of the Czarna Maleniecka River

The study was conducted on the upper reach of the Czarna Maleniecka River from Furmanów to the ford at Piekło. Nine sampling sites were selected along this 20-km section. Detailed studies of flora and the physicochemical water parameters were performed in the 2004- 2006 period. Data on macrophytes were collected with the Mean Trophic Rank (MTR) method. The results of physicochemical measurements were analyzed in reference to the water quality classification of the Polish Ministry of the Environment. Based on the results of these studies, the authors recommend adding two species, Utricularia intermedia and Glyceria fluitans, to the list of bioindicators.

Wskazano na potrzebę gruntownego i skutecznego nauczania problematyki tolerancji geometrycznych. Uzasadniono potrzebę opracowania programu Tolerancje geometryczne - definicje i wyznaczanie odchyłek. W programie pokazano znormalizowane sposoby specyfikacji tolerancji geometrycznych. Wyjaśniono definicje tolerancji kształtu, kierunku, położenia i bicia oraz zastosowanie modyfikatorów M, L, R, P, F, CZ, T za pomocą barwnych rysunków aksonometrycznych oraz przez animacje. Okna Nauka dają użytkownikowi interaktywną możliwość graficznego sprawdzenia, czy poprawnie zrozumiał koncepcje poszczególnych tolerancji geometrycznych. Ta możliwość jest szczególną zaletą programu w porównaniu z innymi programami wspomagającymi nauczanie tolerancji geometrycznych. Użytkownik może również sprawdzić stopień opanowania wiedzy za pomocą okien Test. Poza typową nawigacją pozwalającą hierarchicznie przechodzić między oknami dostępnych jest wiele przycisków sterujących, zapewniających hiperłącza między poszczególnymi częściami programu, co znacznie ułatwia korzystanie z aplikacji. The need for the efficient and broad education in the geometrical tolerance is justified. The motivation for the development of multimedia program Geometrical tolerances - Definitions and evaluation of deviations arę presented. The standardized ways of specifications of the geometrical tolerances arę shown in the program. The explanations of form, orientation, location and run out tolerance definitions as well as application of modifiers M, L, R, P, F, CZ and T arę given in multicolour 3-D drawings and in animations. The practice windows give to a user interactive opportunity to verify graphically if hę understands well the concepts of particular geometrical tolerances. This chance is a unique feature among software offered to aid education in the geometrical tolerance. The user can also check acquired knowledge in tests. Beside the simple navigation top to down many crosslinks arę available to facilitate e-learning. The program is enriched by help options and may be used for self study as well as during classes at universities or courses demanded by industry. It is based on the latest editions of the International Standards, in particular ISO 1101:2004 and ISO 2692:2006. The demo version is available free of charge.
