The paper presents simulations of control systems for reversible DC motor field current drive hoist. Using two anti-parallel connected thyristor bridges or transistor bridge was analyzed for this purpose. Furthermore, the above presented application of the transistor bridge circuit excited DC motor installed in mining hoist "Kazimierz I" KWK "Kazimierz-Juliusz" Sp. z o.o. The described system is manufactured and built by Energotest in 2010. Acceptance test was conducted by OPA-LABOR - which is expert in the mining plants and authorized to pursue researches and opinions on hoist area.
