Food Related Lifestyles (FRL) to narzędzie badawcze, które stworzone zostało w 1993 roku w ramach projektu realizowanego przez MAPP - duńską organizację zajmującą się badaniami relacji z klientami w sektorze spożywczym w zakresie rozwoju, marketingu i dystrybucji żywności. Celem przeprowadzonych analiz było stworzenie narzędzia służącego do badania zwyczajów żywieniowych, które umożliwi międzykulturowe badania porównawcze, głównie pomiędzy krajami europejskimi.

Food Related Lifestyles (FRL) is the research tool which was created in 1993 as a part of one of MAPP's project - a Danish organization which is engaged in scientific research on marketing development and food distribution, but mainly on relations with customers in food sector. The goal of analyses was to create a tool for exploring eating habits, which enables cross-cultural comparative research, mainly between European countries.

The purpose of this study was the design and application of an effective research tool to conduct a comparative analysis of two sample populations: "casual" type restaurants in Poland and in the USA. With this end in view the Mystery Shopping method complemented with a customer preference survey was applied. The proposed method not only enabled the gathering of data from two geographically separated populations, but also, through the two-way process of standardization allowed unification of the criteria of evaluation and results which could be compared. Important elements of the designed tool include: consideration of customers expectations (an element not required in the standard Mystery Shopping method), the process of creation and verification of factors being subject to evaluation (which takes into account the specificity of both researched countries), and the unified process of preparation and training. The results achieved will become the basis for research on the cultural differences influencing the consumer's satisfaction and evaluation. The Mystery Shopping method, apart from the standard application, can be efficiently applied to international comparative research in tourism. The proposed method can also be applied to other multicultural research connected to quality of services.

Celem pracy jest zbadanie wpływu porowatości pozornej porcelany na jej współczynnik stratności dielektrycznej przy uwzględnieniu napięcia, czasu działania napięcia i efektu histerezy.

The porosity of ceramic material is characteristic physical property, whereas the dielectric loss factor is one of the criteria of assessment of majority insulation materials. The determination of relationship between porosity and dielectric loss factor for mentioned material is purposeful. High field strength results that the dielectric loss factor depends on material properties and thermal effect and ionisation. The voids are excellent dielectric in low field strength, but in high field strength they are serious material defects. The purpose of the presented investigation was study the relationship between dielectric loss factor, voltage, time and effect of hysteresis.
