Wiadomości oferowane studentom INiB w procesie kształcenia wynikają z coraz większego udziału wiedzy, technologii oraz kultury w działalności organizacyjnej. Utrzymanie równowagi pomiędzy identyfikowaniem i naśladowaniem najlepszych a indywidualnością i wyjątkowością – które decydują o konkurencyjności na rynku rosnącego zapotrzebowania informacyjnego – wymaga elastyczności oraz eksperymentów. W określeniu metod stymulowania rozwoju zawodowego pracowników pomocne mogą okazać się działania liderów INiB wyróżnianych specjalnymi nagrodami m.in. Carol Ishimoto Award for Distinguished Service in the Harvard College Library oraz Green Carpet Award. Ukazują one holistyczny charakter zasobów materialnych i niematerialnych w bibliotekach, umożliwiają także uprzedzanie zmian oraz wyzwań określających ewolucyjny charakter kultury organizacyjnej.

The news offered to LIS students in the training process result from growing share of knowledge, technology and culture in organizational activity. Maintaining equilibrium between identifying and copying the best and the individuality and exceptionality – determining the competitiveness on the market of growing information demand – requires flexibility and experiments. While determining the methods of stimulating professional development of the employees, the activities of LIS leaders may prove helpful, honoured with special awards, among other things: Carol Ishimoto Award for Distinguished Service in the Harvard College Library and Green Carpet Award. They show holistic nature of the material and non-material resources in the libraries, also enable forestalling the changes and the challenges determining the evolutionary nature of organizational culture.
