The processes of coal metamorphism and the role of its structure in dangerous gas-dynamic phenomena are considered. The coal structural transformation model in metamorphism processes has been suggested. It has been cleared, that a maximal dispersion of physicochemical properties is also characteristic for a substance critical state with the maximal probability of sudden ejection. A way to diagnose the sudden ejection probability has been suggested. The application of this diagnosing is illustrated on an average metamorphism coal using the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) method.
