Zaprezentowano autorski pomysł ceramicznego systemu modułowego. Projekt wykonano dla konkretnego wnętrza sakralnego w celu poprawy własności akustycznych i wizualnych. W ramach systemu zaprojektowano dwanaście modułów o własnościach akustycznych odpowiednio odbijających, rozpraszających i pochłaniających dźwięk.

The paper presents the authors’ own idea of a module ceramic system. The design was prepared for a specific sacred interior in order to improve acoustic and visual properties. The system includes twelve modules with sound reflective, diffusive and absorptive acoustic properties, respectively. A module ceramic system is a consistent artistic concept which ensures a fluent transition within the system between its modules with different acoustic properties. The character of the designed acoustic system was adjusted to the sacred interior with a flame as its motive. The paper presents the designed system, from acoustic investigations, to the linear design, details of the concept, and preparations of modules to the complete design of the interior.
The paper describes issues of the proscenium area shown on the example of two opera houses. The subject of the analysis was the design of the Chamber Opera House in Kalisz and the already existing building of the Opera House in Krakow. It covers the influence of the proscenium walls and forestage ceiling on the acoustic conditions in the auditorium. Another subject of the investigation was the influence of the primary proscenium, designed in the very first opera houses in Baroque. The analyses were carried out by means of two computer softwares: Ray Model and Catt Acoustic, and such parameters as sound strength (G), reverberation time (RT), early decay time (EDT), C80 (clarity) index and center time (TS) were calculated. The parameters were further analyzed in the auditorium for three positions of the sound source on the stage.
The paper discusses acoustic issues of contemporary churches. Church interiors should be designed so as to obtain intelligibility of speech and simultaneously take organ music into account. It is a tough task as acoustic parameters required for speech and organ music are entirely different. Analysis of the issue was carried out on the basis of investigations in five contemporary churches in Poznań. In total, seven interiors were investigated as two of the churches were two-storeyed. The acoustic investigations were conducted by means of an omnidirectional sound source, a SVAN 945A Sound Level Meter and the DIRAC programme. RT, Ts, C80 and C50 were measured. The acoustic parameters were compared with values recommended for churches. The investigations allowed to draw clear conclusions concerning the influence of architecture of the interior on acoustic parameters.

The opera house as a cultural and musical area writes itself well into the spatial structure of the city. Within its own architectural structure, it is subject to modifi cations. The following paper addresses the issue of adapting the opera stage for the needs of a concert. Adaptation of the stage is necessary as the opera performance has different spatial and acoustic requirements from those of the concert. Alongside spatial changes within the stage, acoustic properties in the auditorium change. On the basis of concrete realizations, different types of orchestra shells have been shown and connections between orchestra shell architecture and acoustics have been pointed out. In addition, conclusions of computer simulations for an object whose design is under way, and conclusions of investigation in an actual object have been presented here. The analyses point out that it is a crucial architectural issue. Lack of knowledge of architectural-acoustic requirements for orchestra shells results in constructions not performing their function.
W artykule zaprezentowano sale wielofunkcyjne o regulowanej akustyce.

The paper discusses problems of multi-purpose halls with regulated acoustics. Optimal acoustic parameters depend on types of sound production. To meet the requirements for different activities in auditorium, architecture should be varied to match acoustical parame¬ters to the intended function. There are two main possibilities emphasized: variation of cubic volume and variation of lining materials. As far as the issue of variable volume is concerned the reverberation chambers were introduced. The presented issue was illustrated by examples of architecture realizations.

The acoustics of churches is a very important issue, especially because of the speech intelligibility. This aspect is very often neglected during the designing process in modern sacral architecture. Too long reverberation time and acoustic defects such as echo result in the lack of verbal intelligibility. Two modern churches were investigated in this paper. Acoustic parameters were measured and analyzed in terms of their function. The results of the measurements in the objects were compared and analyzed in terms of the influence of the architecture on the acoustics. The results of the measurements show considerable differences in acoustic parameters in both churches.
W pracy przedstawiono rozwój architektury teatru operowego. Ukazano ewolucję przestrzeni teatru antycznego do momentu powstania barokowej sceny pudełkowej. The paper presents developments of architecture of opera theatre. The beginning of theatrical architecture dates back to antic times. However the antic greek drama cannot be treated as the beginning of an opera. The word was the most important in drama, in opera word is joint with music, there is an integration of scenic action with music. Opera was born in Italy. "Dafne" by J. Peri written in 1598 is the first opera work. The first public theatre was open in 1637 in Venice, whereas the first real opera building was built in 1652 in Rome. The number of opera theatres grew suddenly. One of the reasons for that fact was that the opera spectacle was the richest answer to baroque needs. Opera spectacles under open sky were very popular. Especially important for the public was the true scenical action, hence the creation of different installation began. The opera house often burned. This happened to the best buildings in the history of architecture. That was the reason for using separate stairs and metal curtain between the audience and the stage. The space arrangement of audience transformed with the social changing. In XVIII century opera reached a wider range of people. The boxes characteristic in opera house architecture stem from the court gallery and automatically took over court audience. In public theater only in XIX century places on the ground floor was considered the best place. Earlier it was the standing place and was the cheapest. Orchestra in the antic Greek theatre signified forestage. When opera house was created the group of musicians took that place and the orchestra pit came into being. When orchestra developed it was necessary to have more space in orchestra pit. Often theatres were not ready for the change and there was not enough place in orchestra pit to accommodate a large orchestra. Nowadays we can divide orchestra pits into three types. The first one is an open pit, the second is a sunken pit and the third one is a sunken covered pit. Together with the development of an opera theatre also the technical background develops. There is lack of space for technical activity in many theatres. So the decoration workshops and stores are moved away from the opera house. The faster changes occurred in the biggest and the richest theatres.

The influence of opera stage layout on the acoustic properties of the auditorium was analyzed in this paper. A modified ray method was used in the numerical calculations of the acoustic field parameters (computer program “RAY MODEL”). The calculations were carried out for three cases of the stage layout. The acoustic pressure distribution, reverberation time, early decay time, C80 coefficient and the center time were analyzed. The results showed that the layout of scenery in the stage influences significantly the music quality in the auditorium.
W pracy analizowano wpływ ukształtowania sceny operowej na własności akustyczne widowni. Obliczenia numeryczne parametrów pola akustycznego na widowni wykonano przy użyciu zmodyfikowanej metody promieniowej (program komputerowy 'RAY MODEL"). Wykonano obliczenia dla opery kameralnej dla trzech wariantów ukształtowania sceny. Analizowano rozkład natężenia dźwięku, czas pogłosu, czas wczesnego zaniku, współczynnik C80 i czasowy środek ciężkości.
