Sustainable mobility is one of the key elements determining the correct operationalization of the idea of sustainable development. This concept also appears more and more often in modern cities, whose authorities strive to improve the quality of life of their inhabitants, among others by creating SUMP -Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. This is followed by all kinds of facilities that generate big traffic in cities. One of the institutions willing to meet the challenges of the ever-growing number of trips in its vicinity is Gdynia Maritime University (GMU), which is one of the largest employers in this seaport city, and thus – is one of the biggest traffic generators. The objective of this paper is to investigate the prerequisites and perspectives of creating and implementing mobility plan for GMU in order to make transport more sustainable in its vicinity. For this purpose, pilot research survey has been carried out among employees and students regarding their behaviour and transport preferences in reaching this destination. The research hypothesis stating that the transport habits of the GMU commuters are not compatible with the concept of sustainable mobility was confirmed. The implementation of a sustainable mobility plan in this institution will help to change the standards of traveling in the area of the University and will contribute to better quality of life in the city. It is recommended to enhance the cooperation with the Gdynia City Hall in order to create a synergy effect and bring an added value to sustainable development of this congested seaport urban space.

Stopy tytanu, takie jak Ti6Al4V, czy analizowany Ti6Al7Nb należą do stopów o strukturze dwufazowej α+β. Kształtowanie ich mikrostruktury wynika ze specyficznych cech fizycznych tytanu, ale i z warunków odkształcania na gorąco oraz obróbki cieplnej. Procesy te powinny uwzględniać związek między mikrostrukturą a wytrzymałością implantu, jego twardością, plastycznością, odpornością na zmęczenie, zużycie ścierne i co najważniejsze – odpornością na korozję. Przeanalizowano istniejącą literaturę pod kątem wpływu mikrostruktury stopu tytanu Ti6Al7Nb na jego odporność korozyjną w symulowanych płynach ustrojowych. Jej różnorodność związana jest ze sposobem przetwarzania stopu, co również było obiektem analizy i obserwacji.

Titanium alloys, such as Ti6Al4V, or analyzed in this paper Ti6Al7Nb alloys are two-phase structure of α + β. Shaping their microstructure due to the specific physical characteristics of the titanium, its hot deformation and heat treatment. These processes should take into account the relation between the microstructure and strength of the implant, its hardness, ductility, resistance to fatigue, wear and what is the most important - corrosion resistance. Existing literature was analyzed for effects of titanium alloy microstructure Ti6Al7Nb its corrosion resistance in simulated body fluids. It is associated with a variety of melt processing method, which also has been the subject of analysis and observation.

Restrykcyjne przepisy odnośnie dopuszczalnych norm emisji spalin stawiają przed koncernami produkującymi pojazdy rolnicze coraz to ostrzejsze wymagania, co do ilości dopuszczalnych szkodliwych substancji emitowanych przez jednostki napędowe tych pojazdów do atmosfery. W opracowaniu przedstawiono koncepcje modernizacji tradycyjnej rzędowej pompy wtryskowej, umożliwiającej sterowanie obciążeniem silnika nie zależnie od położenia pedału mocy.

Restrictive legal regulations concerning acceptable exhaust emission standards pose increasingly stricter requirements for agricultural vehicle producers with regard to the admissible quantities of harmful substances emitted into the air by driving units of these vehicles. The study presents concepts of modernisation of the traditional in-line injection pump which makes it possible to control the engine load irrespective of the position of the power pedal.

The migration of lithium along the bed of Li/MgO catalyst in oxidative coupling of methane has been investigated. A scaled-up stainless-steel tubular reactor with a fixed catalyst bed formed from two layers with different Li content was applied. It was discovered by AAS determination that the emission of volatile lithium compounds from the lithium rich working catalyst layer observed during its ageing, was followed with binding of emitted lithium by the poorer in lithium catalyst layer located below. Its consequences to the catalytic performance were studied. Under applied conditions, the main effect of the ageing of the catalyst was the decrease in C2 selectivity and the increase in COx selectivity, with only weak effect on methane conversion. It was found that the aged catalyst layer of low selectivity after its contact with the emission from the working fresh catalyst layer became more selective towards C2 formation. The phenomenon of migration of lithium should be taken into account in the efforts to prolong the period of effective work of the whole catalyst bed.
