W pracy podano informacje medyczne dotyczące ośrodków balneoterapii na Węgrzech, charakteru wód geotermalnych i przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę jednostek chorobowych leczonych w ośrodkach węgierskich. Przedstawiono także opisy chorób, dysfunkcji i nieprawidłowości narządu ruchu u dzieci, młodzieży i dorosłych poddających się leczeniu balneoklimatycznemu. Istnieje pilna potrzeba wykonania odwiertów wód geotermalnych w Polsce i budowy ośrodków sanatoryjnych, szpitali uzdrowiskowych, ośrodków rekreacyjnych i sportowych. Wykorzystanie wód geotermalnych poprawi kondycję fizyczną i psychiczną społeczeństwa polskiego. Da wymierne korzyści finansowe, zmniejszy ilość chorób, rent, zasiłków chorobowych i uatrakcyjni nasz kraj turystycznie.

The article presents some information about thermal sanatoriums and hospitals as well as the characteristics of geothermal waters in Hungary. It also provides a short characteristic of diseases treated in these geothermal centres in Hungary. The authors have presented a short history of diseases. disfunctions and disorders of legs, arms and spine in children, youngsters and old people treated effectively in geothermal clinics and sanatoriums. It is necessary to make geothermal springs (welIs of geothermal waters) and build sanatoriums, hospitals as well as recreation and sports centres. Usage of geothermal waters in Poland will improve psychic and physical condition of the Polish society. Construction of geothermal centres in Poland will bring a financial profit. reduce the number of diseases and pensioners, and make our country more attractive and interesting for tourists.
