W niniejszej publikacji poddano analizie jedną z możliwych metod modyfikacji powierzchni stopu Ti-6Al-7Nb. Poruszono zagadnienia utleniania izotermicznego i jego wpływu na właściwości wytrzymałościowe. Dla określenia tego wpływu zbadano właściwości wytrzymałościowe samego materiału przed procesem utleniania oraz właściwości wytworzonej warstwy bezpośrednio po przeprowadzeniu utleniania.

In this publication, one of the possible methods of modifying the surface of the alloy Ti- 6Al-7Nb was analyzed. The issues of the isothermal oxidation and its effect on mechanical properties were mentioned here. The mechanical properties before oxidation and the properties of the oxide layer were examined to determine the influence mentioned above.

Zaprezentowano przegląd literaturowy dotyczący materiałów ceramicznych oraz metalicznych, a także część wyników własnych badań naukowych porowatych stopów z pamięcią kształtu.

The paper addresses the issues associated with the application of porous materials in medicine, properties and technology for their preparation. The review of literature of ceramic and metallic materials and also some results of my own research porous shape memory alloys has been presented.

Creation of worker-owned companies should be considered an important social-economic phenomena within the framework of systemic changes that take place in Poland. The large scale is what is decisive for its importance, but it is also the fact that in case of those entities the employees' property has much more active character than it does in companies created by means of other privatisation methods. The objective of this article is to try to evaluate the financial condition of worker-owned companies in the Zachodniopomorskie region. In order to meet this objective, the author used the results of empirical research carried out in 39 worker-owned companies from the moment they were established until the end of the year 2003. There will be also presented the process of secondary privatisation (changes in the ownership structure) taking place in the analysed entities.

In this paper there are presented general problems of mergers and acquisitions of enterprises functioning in the National Investment Funds (NFI). The aims witch NFI had to realize forced them to make acquiring-selling transactions, which were not always successful. NFI acquire also other enterprises to create more constant economic relationships. In the article is pointed out that there is general tendency of transforming NFI into different funds, like investment funds or capital funds.

The choice of appropriate economic policy and especially the determination of the scope of State's role in creation of adequate frames of functioning of commercial entities is an extremely important issue. Throughout centuries of economic history of the world, a lot of tendencies and schools appeared. Some of them chanted slogans of economic liberalism and other supported state's intervention ism. Both pro- and anti-interventionist opinions fought between each other for domination, both on the grounds of theory of economy and in economic practice. The article discusses elementary schools of both tendencies. Main emphasis has been placed on their attitude towards private property.

Wśród wielu form uczestnictwa pracowników we własności sprywatyzowanych przedsiębiorstw najistotniejszą są spółki pracownicze odpłatnie użytkujące mienie Skarbu Państwa (zwane leasingiem pracowniczym). Artykuł prezentuje ocenę efektywności spółek pracowniczych na podstawie badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych w 39 spółkach pracowniczych regionu zachodniopomorskiego, która dokonana została na podstawie wybranych wskaźników finansowych w latach 1999-2003.

For almost 15 years of company's privatization in Poland one of the most often applied method is employee leasing. The paper presents an evaluation of efficiency of workers' partnerships on the basis of empirical studies carried out in 39 companies of the Zachodniopomorski region, which has been based on the analysis of changes of chosen financial parameters between the year 1999-2003.

Direct foreign investments are the most dynamic form of current international economic relations. The inflow of foreign capital to Poland results from the transformations, which took place in Poland in late 80's. This paper presents the dynamics of foreign investments in polish companies and economy. In the conclusion it has been shown that there is a need to adapt the policy of stimulating the inflow of direct foreign investments to the needs and growth potential on enterprises.
