Artykuł opisuje działania w procesie dydaktycznym na kierunku architektura, których temat był związany z Szybem Poniatowski w Katowicach w latach 2019-2021. To studium przypadku wykorzystania zabytku w procesie dydaktycznym. Ponadto pokazuje wybrane wnioski i pomysły osób studiujących dla wskazanego terenu. Zrozumienie oraz opisanie potencjału terenu Szybu Poniatowski było zagadnieniem poruszanym: na międzynarodowych warsztatów studenckich w semestrze letnim 2019/2020, podczas architektoniczno-urbanistycznego warsztatu dla studentów, w semestrze letnim 2019/2020, w pracach dyplomowych magisterskich.

The article describes how the historic Poniatowski Shaft in Katowice was used in the didactic process in the architecture major at the University of Technology in Katowice in the years 2019-2021. The article is a case study of the use of the monument in the didactic process. Moreover, it shows selected conclusions and ideas of the students for the indicated site. Understanding and describing the potential of the Poniatowski Shaft site was an issue addressed: at an international student workshop in the summer semester 2019/2020, during an architectural and urban planning workshop for students, in the summer semester 2019/2020, in master's theses.
