The article is defining elements forming spatial structures of modern housing complexes in floodplains and polders, aimed at making a comparative analysis of contemporary developments of housing estates from the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany. The analysis was aimed at defining the proportions of the size of land designated for development, water infrastructure areas, public green areas and traffic.

Artykuł definiuje elementy tworzące struktury przestrzenne współczesnych zespołów mieszkaniowych na terenach zalewowych i polderach, na podstawie analizy porównawczej wybranych zespołów mieszkaniowych z terenu Holandii, Danii i Niemiec. Przeprowadzona analiza pozwoliła określić wzajemne proporcje wielkości terenów przeznaczonych pod zabudowę do terenów infrastruktury oraz terenów publicznych zielonych i przeznaczonych pod komunikację pieszą i kołową.

Apartment building in Świnoujście was designed as a small open space - loft housing. We were thinking about space and also psychological design aspects. We tried to put into small space a complex programm. A lot of programm elements, complex space, contact with nature were connected with language of modern architecture and very familiar feeling of being at the sea.

Architecture of events is architecture beyond aesthetics. With some new tools like superposition, crossprogramming, disjunction, diagrams and folding developed by Tschumi, Eisenman and Koolhaas we can make architecture without designing of form, function and structure. This concept of architecture is similar to idea of event in philosophy of Martin Heidegger.

Dissertation „City-Centre-Object-City" brings up two issues concerned with a problem of nestling a modern dynamic urban program in existing spatial city structure. On the one hand the dissertation presents a phenomenon of glass box as a relation between a complex program and versatile wrapping (based on an example of Politechnika Szczecińska Library project). On the other it introduces a novel solution of a problem concerned with relations between a new urban program and existing city structure. The idea is based on minimizing side-effects of placing spatial mega-structures in historical environment (on example of Centrum Handlowe in Olsztyn).

Architecture of events is architecture beyond aesthetics. With some new tools like superposition, crosspro-gramming, disjunction, diagrams and folding developed by Tschumi, Eisenman and Koolhaas we can make architecture without designing of form, function and structure. Last year two of my students developed graduate projects using tools of architecture of events, which shows that architecture can reach beyond aesthetics.
