This article explains tlie method of defining oil and gas bearing stratum after the clay swelling coefficient. When the value of clay swelling coefficient is low oil and gas saturation of rock is foreseen. This method is based on selecting bore core samples while boring and constructing litologic profile using the core samples selected while boring. The method doesn't require additional substantial funds so it can be considered as economically effective.
