The complicated relationship of the high order static indeterminate structure will lead to a lot of calculation work. The strength analysis of the structure is very difficult. In aircraft design phase, a structural simplified method should be used to model the load characteristics of the structure. In the paper, the buckling analysis of airframe jointed panel is investigated under combined loading and the effect of jointed position to buckling load is also presented. For the buckling analysis of special joined structure, one new method which is better than traditional methods is described.

Content available remote Flat Knitting Loop Deformation Simulation Based on Interlacing Point Model

In order to create realistic loop primitives suitable for the faster CAD of the flat-knitted fabric, we have performed research on the model of the loop as well as the variation of the loop surface. This paper proposes an interlacing point-based model for the loop center curve, and uses the cubic Bezier curve to fit the central curve of the regular loop, elongated loop, transfer loop, and irregular deformed loop. In this way, a general model for the central curve of the deformed loop is obtained. The obtained model is then utilized to perform texture mapping, texture interpolation, and brightness processing, simulating a clearly structured and lifelike deformed loop. The computer program LOOP is developed by using the algorithm. The deformed loop is simulated with different yarns, and the deformed loop is applied to design of a cable stitch, demonstrating feasibility of the proposed algorithm. This paper provides a loop primitive simulation method characterized by lifelikeness, yarn material variability, and deformation flexibility, and facilitates the loop-based fast computer-aided design (CAD) of the knitted fabric.

The risk level of the Aids to Navigation (AtoNs) can reflect the ship navigation safety level in the channel to some extent. In order to appreciate the risk level of the aids to navigation (AtoNs) in a navigation channel and to provide some decision‐making suggestions for the AtoNs Maintenance and Management Department, the risk assessment index system of the AtoNs was built considering the advanced experience of IALA. Under the Formal Safety Assessment frame, taking the advantages of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the fuzzy‐FSA model of risk assessment for aids to navigation was established. The model was implemented for the assessment of aids to navigation in Shanghai area based on the aids to navigation three‐dimensional simulation system. The real‐time data were extracted from the existing information system of aids to navigation, and the real‐time risk assessment for aids to navigation of the chosen channel was performed on platform of the three‐dimensional simulation system, with the risk assessment software. Specifically, the deep‐water channel of the Yangtze River estuary was taken as an example to illustrate the general assessment procedure. The method proposed presents practical significance and application prospect on the maintenance and management of the aids to navigation.

Adaptive decomposition of complex data is realized and intrinsic mode function (IMF) components that reflect different scales information are gained through empirical mode decomposition (EMD) of partial discharge (PD) signals. The gained intrinsic mode function components are reconstructed after the wavelet threshold processing to reduce the interference of noise. This partial discharge signals denoising method has achieved good effect in the processing of simulation and measured data, which proves the effectiveness and superiority of the method.

A scanning white light interferometer is developed to measure the distributed polarization coupling (DPC) in high birefringence polarization maintaining fibers (PMFs). Traditionally, this technique requests only one polarization mode to be excited or both polarization modes to be excited with equal intensity in the PMF. Thus, an accurate alignment of the polarization direction with the principal axis in PMF is strictly required, which is not facilely realized in practical measurement. This paper develops a method to measure the spatial distribution of polarization mode coupling with random modes excited using a white light Michelson interferometer. The influence of incident polarization extinction ratio (PER) on polarization coupling detection is evaluated theoretically and experimentally. It is also analyzed and validated in corresponding measurement that the sensitivity of the polarization coupling detection system can be improved more than 100 times with the rotation of the analyzer.
