W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań wpływu temperatury osnowy na przebieg procesu wiązania mas samoutwardzalnych. Badaniom poddano 3 masy na bazie: żywicy alkidowej, żywicy fenolowej typu rezolowego (proces α-set) i żywicy furfurylowej (proces furanowy). Ponadto wyznaczono kinetykę procesu utwardzania i określono żywotność masy przy różnych temperaturach osnowy (10 ºC; 20 ºC; 30 ºC). Badania prowadzono przy wykorzystaniu techniki ultradźwiękowej.

In the article the author presents the results of the researches into the sand grains temperature's influence on the process course of bonding the hardening self-setting sand. There are three different self-setting sand which undergo in the researches on the basis of: an alkyd resin, a phenol resin a-stage type (alfa-set process) and a furfuryl resin (furane process). What is more, the kinetics of the hardening process is defined and the self-setting sand vitality is described in the different sand grains temperatures (10 ºC; 20 ºC; 30 ºC). The researchers are taken with the use of the ultrasonic technique.

Zakłady Tworzyw Sztucznych Erg w Pustkowie SA istnieją na rynku żywic odlewniczych od kilkudziesięciu lat. Najważniejszą grupą żywic odlewniczych w ofercie ZTS są żywice furanowe serii Ekotec, przeznaczone do sporządzania mas formierskich utwardzanych metodą bez ogrzewania (no bake) i hot-box. Żywice Ekotec 45 i 60 zalecane są do sporządzania mas formierskich i rdzeniowych dla odlewów żeliwnych z dodatkiem piasku świeżego. Żywice Ekotec 75R i 80 poleca się odlewniom żeliwa stosującym regenerację mas. Ekotec 90 ze względu na niską zawartość azotu może być stosowany do produkcji odlewów żeliwnych, staliwnych i stopów miedzi. Żywice Ekotec 35 i Ekotec 50G stosuje się w technologii hot-box. Żywice te spełniają rygorystyczne wymagania współczesnego przemysłu odlewniczego, tzn. niską emisję gazów podczas zalewania, dobrą wytrzymałość masy, doskonałą wybijalność. ZTS Erg w Pustkowie, w związku se stale rosnącą konkurencją i wyższymi wymaganiami odbiorców, prowadzi prace badawczo - rozwojowe nad poprawą właściwości żywic odlewniczych i mas wykonywanych z ich użyciem. Prace prowadzone są zarówno w laboratoriach ZTS Erg w Pustkowie jak i w Erg-Odlewie w Skawinie. Jednym z ważniejszych celów jest poprawa jakości produkowanych odlewów przy niższych kosztach produkcji.

The Plastics Plant Erg in Pustków SA is operating in the market of foundry resins from some tens of years. The most important group of resins are furan resins from the Ekotec series, intended for the preparation of moulding sands hardened by no bake and hot-box method. Ekotec 45 and 60 resins are recommended for the preparation of moulding sands and cores for cast iron castings with an addition of fresh sand. Ekotec 75R and 80 resins are recommended for foundries, which are using reclamation of spent sands. Ekotec 90, due to a low nitrogen content, can be applied for production of cast iron, cast steel as well as copper alloy castings. Ekotec 35 and Ekotec 50G resins are applied in the hot-box technology. The mentioned above resins meet the rigorous requirements of the modern foundry industry, which means a low gas emission during pouring process, good resistance of moulding sands and excellent knock-out properties. In connection with constantly increasing competition and requirements of clients the ZTS Erg in Pustków performs research and development operations to improve the properties of foundry resins and moulding sands made with their application. Research is carried on both in the ZTS Erg Laboratories in Pustków and in the Erg-Odlew in Skawina. One of the most important aims is the quality improvement of the produced castings and the production costs reduction.Z
