OBRUM sp. z o.o. w swojej 50-letniej działalności w ramach przemysłowego potencjału obronnego zrealizował szereg nowoczesnych projektów wyrobów przeznaczonych dla wojsk inżynieryjnych. W artykule zostały przedstawione i przypomniane najważniejsze opracowane przez kadrę naukowo-techniczną wyroby Ośrodka zbudowane na podwoziach gąsienicowych. Jasno definiowane potrzeby i dobra współpraca z wojskami inżynieryjnymi przyniosły konkretne wdrożenia o nowoczesnych rozwiązaniach technicznych. Specjalizacja OBRUM sp. z o.o. w zakresie sprzętu inżynieryjnego wynikała z potrzeby wykorzystania dostępnych podwozi i unifikacji pojazdów produkowanych w kraju. W zrealizowanych wyrobach wykorzystane były podwozia czołgów T-54, T-55, T-72 i PT-91. Opracowano i wdrożono maszyny typu ciągnik, układacz min, wóz zabezpieczenia technicznego czy czołg inżynieryjny.

During the 50 years of OBRUM's functioning in the defence industry the company has completed a number of projects pertaining to modern products for the engineering troops. This article presents the major products based on tracked chassis developed by OBRUM's research and technical staff. Clearly defined needs and good cooperation with the engineering troops have brought about launching of products based on modern technological solutions. OBRUM's specialization in the field of engineering equipment resulted from the need to use the available chassis and to ensure compatibility between the vehicles manufactured in the country. In the products developed use was made of chassis of tanks T-54, T-55, T-72 and PT-91. The machines developed and introduced into production included tractors, minelaying vehicles, recovery vehicles and engineer tank.

During the 50 years of OBRUM's functioning in the defence industry the company has completed a number of projects pertaining to modern products for the engineering troops. This article presents the major products based on tracked chassis developed by OBRUM's research and technical staff. Clearly defined needs and good cooperation with the engineering troops have brought about launching of products based on modern technological solutions. OBRUM's specialization in the field of engineering equipment resulted from the need to use the available chassis and to ensure compatibility between the vehicles manufactured in the country. Podstawowymi zadaniami, jakie zawsze stawiano przed Ośrodkiem, było prowadzenie kompleksowych prac naukowo-badawczych i badawczo - rozwojowych, zmierzających do przygotowania i podjęcia produkcji na skalę przemysłową nowych lub zmodernizowanych wyrobów. Jednym z najważniejszych obszarów tych prac były projekty obejmujące bojowy sprzęt pancerny, w tym czołgi klasy MBT (Main Battle Tank). Artykuł omawia wybrane, zrealizowane w Ośrodku projekty bazujące na pozyskanych rozwiązaniach radzieckich (modernizacje czołgów T-54/55, adaptacja licencji czołgu T-72) oraz opracowania własne (wymagane modernizacje) dostosowujące parametry techniczne T-72 do wymagań współczesnego pola walki. Przedstawiono wyniki prac nad polską wersją czołgu PT-91 oraz prowadzone projekty (prace zakończone w różnych fazach) badawczo-rozwojowe obejmujące czołgi o kryptonimach: Goryl, Anders czy też projekt koncepcyjny PL-01. Pokazano także wstępne rezultaty prac nad opracowaniem typoszeregu pojazdów gąsienicowych bazujących na uniwersalnej platformie modułowej (UMPG) oraz Wozu Wsparcia Bojowego (WWB). W podsumowaniu odniesiono się do uzyskanych na przestrzeni lat wyników – wdrożeń opracowanego sprzętu w polskich strukturach wojska oraz w krajach Bliskiego Wschodu i Malezji.

The basic tasks that OBRUM has always been assigned with was to conduct comprehensive scientific, research and development work aimed at preparing and launching manufacture on an industrial scale of new or improved products. One of the principal domains of these tasks were projects on armoured combat equipment, including MBT (Main Battle Tank) class tanks. In this article the authors discuss some selected projects completed at OBRUM that were based on acquired Soviet designs (modernization of T-54/55 tanks, adaptation of T-72 tank licence) and proprietary developments (required modernization) that adapted the technical specifications of T-72 to the requirements of modern battlefield. Results of work on the Polish version of the PT-91 tank are presented, as well as R&D projects undertaken (and ended at various stages of development) related to tanks code-named: Goryl, Anders and concept design PL-01. Initial results of work on the development of a series of tracked vehicle types based on the Universal Modular Tracked Platform (UMPG) and of the Combat Support Vehicle (WWB). In the summary reference is made to the results attained over the years: developed equipment deployed in the Polish Army and in the Middle East countries and Malaysia.

W artykule opisano nowe produkty Zakładów Mechanicznych „BUMAR-ŁABĘDY” S.A. i Ośrodka Badawczo-Rozwojowego Urządzeń Mechanicznych „OBRUM” sp. z o.o. powstałe na zamówienie rządu Malezji, tj.: czołgi PT-91M, wozy zabezpieczenia technicznego WZT-4, mosty PMC- LEGUAN, maszyny inżynieryjno-drogowe MID-M oraz zestawy szkoleniowe. Opisano większość z nowych rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych zastosowanych w pojazdach, a także przebieg i wyniki prób trwałościowych, które przeprowadzono w Polsce i Malezji w warunkach tropikalnych. Materiał zawiera kilkanaście zdjęć obrazujących nowości oraz dokumentujących przebieg badań.

New products of Zakłady Mechaniczne „BUMAR-ŁABĘDY” S.A. and Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy Urządzeń Mechanicznych „OBRUM” sp. z o.o. that were developed according to Malaysian government order are described in the paper, i.e. PT-91M tanks, technical support vehicles WZT-4, bridges PCM-LEGUAN, road technology machines MID-M as well as training sets. The most of new construction solutions applied to vehicles was described as well as mileage and durability tests results which were performed in Poland and in Malaysia under tropic conditions. The paper contains several dozen photographs that present novelties as well as that prove the course of tests.
