A systematic study of adsorptive and catalytic properties of supported Ru-Ce catalyst for utilization of carbon oxide (by using Fischer-Tropsch synthesis) has been carried out in this work. The main products of this reaction are C1-C8 olefins and parafins of iso- and normal chain structures. The structure and the active surface state of Ru-Ce-catalysts were studied by using the methods of XPS, XPD, electron microscopy, e-diffraction, IR-spectroscopy. The formation of bimetallic Ru-Ce clusters was shown. The rearranged surface clusters influence greatly the structures, chemisorption of CO and H2, and activity and selectivity of Ru-Ce/Al2O3 catalyst in the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
