Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie możliwości zastosowania komputerowych symulacji sieci wodociągowej mających pomóc w znalezieniu rozwiązania poprawiającego jakość wody dostarczanej przez sieć wodociągową. Za pomocą specjalnego oprogramowania można modelować zmiany w wieku wody w całym systemie dystrybucji. Wiek wody w przewodach jest parametrem określającym świeżość i wpływającym na jej jakość. Model uwzględnia czas, w którym woda przebywa w danym odcinku od momentu wpłynięcia z ujęcia i wymieszania ze znajdującą się już wodą w sieci. Obiektem badań w tym opracowaniu jest sieć wodociągowa w Gminie Pisz, dla której wykonano model sieci w oparciu o odwzorowanie istniejącej infrastruktury i dane GIS.

The aim of this study is to present the possibility of using computer simulations of the water supply network to help find a solution to improve the quality of water supplied by the water supply network. Modeling changes in the age of water throughout the distribution system can be modeled using modeling software. The age of water in the pipes is a parameter determining freshness and affecting its quality. The model takes into account the time in which the water stays in a given section from the moment of entering from the intake and mixing with already existing water in the network. The research object in this study is the water supply network in the Pisz Commune for which the network model was constructed based on the mapping of the existing infrastructure and GIS data. A correctly built and calibrated model allows you to quickly find a solution that allows you to increase the speed of water flow in the pipes. This translates into a reduction in operating costs of the water supply company. It also reduces the consumption of water needed, for example, for rinsing the network.
