Content available remote Wpływ komponentów na zawartość wody w paliwach silnikowych
PL

A base gasoline mixed with 0-5% of EtOH, i-PrOH, t-BuOH, i 1-BuOH, DMF, or MTBE and a base diesel oil mixed with 0r 97.5% of rapeseed-oil fatty acids Me esters, were shaked, 4 mL each fuel with 1, 0.1 or 0.05 mL H2O for 2 h at 20°C, and, allowed to stratify overnight. In gasoline, the H2O content, Iower than the soly. of H2O, rose as the additive content and the vol. of the satg. H2O were increased. MTBE and DMF l were least effective as co-solvents; with MTBE, the H2O solute was not related to the vol, of the H2O used to sat. the gasoline. Alcs., esp. EtOH, were most hydrophilic and resulted in more than 0.1% H2O dissolved in gasoline. In diesel oil, 0.1% of H2O was achieved only when the Me esters f added were as high as 80%; the H2O solute was equiv. to the soly. of H2O.

Concerns of refinery industry due to obligatory use of fatty acids methyl esters for production of diesel fuel have been presented. The paper puts an emphasis on importance of ester quality as fuel component. So far problem of the esters influence on stability and other operational properties of diesel fuel is being unsolved. To obtain more experience and to diminish a risk connected with use of these fuels, making further tests have been suggested. The paper also describes the use of IR spectrophotometry and chromatography LC/GC to determine the content of fatty acids methyl esters and glycerides in diesel fuels. The obtained results were compared with results obtained by other authors by use of different methods.
