The article describes the project to modernize the tanks of the T-72 series, presented for the first time at the International Defence Industry Exhibition - Kielce 2017 (MSPO 2017). The specifications of the proposed versions of the modernization of the T-72 tank are referred to and compared with those of other types of tanks (T-72B3, M1A2 ABRAMS). The article presents mainly a technical approach: extensive technical analyzes of the parameters of the offered package in comparison to those of key MBTs. In conclusions, reference is made to essential considerations in favour of the implementation of the industrial manufacture of the presented modernized version of the PT-91M2.

W artykule opisano realizowany obecnie program modernizacji czołgów LEOPARD 2A4 do wersji LEOPARD 2PL. Przedstawiono początkowe fazy projektowe, analizę techniczną oraz finalny wariant realizacji. Pokazano również wpływ projektu na nabycie nowych kompetencji przez spółki wchodzące w skład PGZ S.A., szczególnie unikalnych kwalifikacji Zakładów Mechanicznych „BUMAR-ŁABĘDY” S.A. Ujęto podejście techniczne oraz marketingowe do procesu modernizacji i ofertyzacji programu.

The article describes the currently implemented project of upgrading the LEOPARD 2A4 tanks to the LEOPARD 2PL version. W artykule opisano projekt modernizacji czołgów rodziny T-72, zaprezentowany po raz pierwszy na Międzynarodowym Salonie Przemysłu Obronnego - Kielce 2017 (MSPO 2017). Odniesiono się do parametrów proponowanych wersji modernizacji czołgu T-72, porównując je z parametrami innych typów czołgów (T-72B3, M1A2 ABRAMS). W artykule przedstawiono głównie podejście techniczne – przedstawiono szerokie analizy techniczne parametrów oferowanego pakietu do parametrów kluczowych czołgów MBT. We wnioskach odniesiono się do istotnych uwarunkowań przemawiających za wdrożeniem do produkcji przemysłowej przedstawionej wersji zmodernizowanego czołgu PT-91M2.
