The issue of expanding the field of activity of professional architects under the influence of innovative technologies is considered in the article. A model is proposed that considers new specializations in architecture as a result of the synthesis of innovative technologies, types of activity and projected objects. Methods for the analysis of innovative directions of architects' activity are proposed from the point of view of the emergence of needs for new competences and preservation of traditional knowledge. A hypothesis has been put forward on the expansion of the "core of the profession" and the allocation of new independent professional directions from it.

Artykuł rozważa zagadnienie poszerzenia zakresu działalności profesjonalnych architektów pod wpływem innowacyjnych technologii. Zaproponowano model, uwzględniający nowe specjalizacje w architekturze w wyniku syntezy innowacyjnych technologii, rodzajów działań i zaprojektowanych obiektów. Proponowane są metody analizy innowacyjnych obszarów działalności architektów pod kątem pojawiania się potrzebnych nowych kompetencji i zachowania tradycyjnej wiedzy. Przedstawiono hipotezę o rozszerzeniu "sedna profesji" i wyizolowaniu z niej nowych niezależnych trendów zawodowych.

The research apparatus of the article includes elements of the systematic approach, the theory of architectural composition, methods and means of a synergetic approach in architecture.

Naukowo-badawczy aparat artykułu zawiera elementy podejścia systemowego, teorii architektonicznej kompozycji, metodyki i środków synergetycznego podejścia w architekturze.

Architecture during the whole period of its existence have been connected with daring experiments: right angle, arch, vault, cantilever - all of these achievements have emerged, evaluated and finally anchored in practice as a positive experience. Today the scope of problems that architects and urban planners have to deal with includes socioeconomic, ecological and even philosophical and political realms, as well as more conventional technical questions of architectural and construction process. Multiple complication in the way cities are functioning, along with a big gap in understating of a region as a complex, dynamic, self-developing system has led to a number of critical mistakes That is why adequacy of decisions adopted and consequences of erroneous prediction should be considered very carefully. Because deserted cities and huge budgets spent can become the cost of mistake.

Architektura przez cały okres swojego istnienia była związana ze śmiałym eksperymentem: kąt prosty, słup, łuk, sklepienie, konsola – wszystkie te zdobycze pojawiały się, aprobowały i przymocowywały w praktyce pod postacią pozytywnego doświadczenia. Dziś charakter problemów, które powstają przed architektami i urbanistami, polega nie tylko na części technicznej procesu architektoniczno-budowlanego, lecz zarówno w dziedzinie społeczno-ekonomicznej, ekologicznej i nawet filozoficznej i politycznej. Wielokrotne skomplikowanie zasad funkcjonowania miast i dystans pojęć o regionie jak o skomplikowanym dynamicznym i samoczynnym systemie, stało się przyczyną szeregu błędów. Trzeba szczególnie rzetelnie rozpatrywać problematykę adekwatności decyzji i prognoz. Konsekwencją błędu mogą być opustoszałe miasta i miliardy wydanych środków.

A city as an open dynamic system, consisting of many components that have their own dynamics, exists in conditions of constant internal contradictions. Each of these contradictions separately or in combination forces a city to change in such a way that they do not threaten the existence of the system itself. Architecture, as an artificial environment in which these systemic contradictions take place, also has to react appropriately to them, changing in turn.

Miasto jak otwarty dynamiczny system, składający się z mnóstwa składników posiadających własną dynamikę, istnieje w warunkach stałych wewnętrznych sprzeczności. Każdy z tych konfliktów oddzielnie albo w całokształcie powodują, że miasto zmienia się w ten sposób, żeby nie groziło istnienie samego systemu. Architektura, jako sztuczna część środowiska, w której odbywają się te systemowe sprzeczności, jest zmuszona do elastycznego reagowania na nie, przez na przykład zmianę ich kolejności.
