W artykule zaprezentowano metodykę oceny sprawności chłodni wentylatorowej oraz analizę techniczno-ekonomiczną modernizacji chłodni z określeniem stopy zwrotu nakładów poniesionych na modernizację. Przedstawiono także kryterium, na podstawie którego można podjąć decyzję o rozpoczęciu lub zaniechaniu modernizacji chłodni.

The article will present the methodology for increase the efficiency of the cooling tower and technical and economic analysis of the modernization of the cooling tower with specification of the term and rate of return invested money for modernization. There will be presented standard that could be used to decide: start or omission of modernization of the cooling tower.

Celem pracy przedstawionej w artykule jest ocena wpływu obróbki cieplnej na poziom polifenoli w brokułach świeżych i mrożonych. W zależności od rodzaju obróbki cieplnej (gotowanie na parze lub w wodzie) oraz założonych parametrów (czas) uzyskano zróżnicowane zawartości polifenoli. Wraz z wydłużeniem czasu gotowania zawartość tych związków uległa zmniejszeniu. Gotowanie na parze w mniejszym stopniu niż gotowanie w wodzie wpłynęło na zmniejszenie zawartości polifenoli w badanym warzywie. Brokuły świeże, niepoddane obróbce cieplnej zawierały o 44% więcej polifenoli niż mrożone.

Purpose of work was estimate the influence of heat treatment on level of polyphenols in fresh and frozen broccoli. Depending on kind of heat treatment (cooking in steam and cooking in water) and set up parameters (time) got different contents of polyphenols. Contents of this substances has undergone drop along with stretch time of cooking. Cooking in steam in smaller degree than cooking in water has effected drop of contents of polyphenols in vegetables. Fresh, not heat- treated broccoli, included about 44% more polyphenols then frozen.

Modernizacja stosowanych od wielu lat w tej odlewni procesów przygotowania mas z cementem, powierzona PRODLEWOWI-Warszawa polegała na zaprojektowaniu i realizacji nowoczesnego układu produkcyjnego. Układ ten obejmuje: Centralne gniazdo przygotowania mas, z nowoczesną, sterowaną komputerem mieszarką; System dystrybucji masy do stanowisk formierskich, z wykorzystaniem przenośników taśmowych oraz urządzń specjalistycznych; System rejestracji zużycia materiałów formierskich połączony z centralnym systemem BAAN sterującym bazami gospodarki materiałowej. Inwestycję przekazano do eksploatacji 19 listopada 1999 roku. Po ponad rocznym okresie eksploatacji stwierdzono, że modernizacja spełniła założony cel. Zmniejszono pracochłonność transportu i formowania oraz wyeliminowano transport mas suwnicami. Na bieżąco prowadzona jest statystyka zużycia materiałów formierskich, pozwalająca precyzyjnie sterować zapasami i dokładnie określać koszty wykonania każdego odlewu. Założona wydajność z wymaganym zapasem pokrywa zapotrzebowanie formowania. Przez cały okres modernizaci produkcja w odlewni nie została zatrzymana. Operatorzy szybko opanowali obsługę nowych urządzeń, przy znacznie lepszych warunkach pracy.

Modernization of the processes applied for many years in this foundry and concerning the preparation of the cement sand was commissioned to PRODLEW-WARSAW. It consisted in designing and realization of a modem production system. This system included: 1 - work centre of making cement sand with a modern, computer controlled mixer; 2 - system of distribution of the mixture to the moulding stands, with the use of belt conveyors and specialistic installations; 3 - registration system of the consumption of moulding materials connected with the BAAN central system of controlling the bookkeeping and the stock. The investment was commissioned to exploitation on 19th November 1999. After the period of exploitation of more than one year it has been stated that the modernization has fulfilled the assumed aim. The labour consumption of transport and moulding has been reduced, and the transport of mould sand by means of overhead cranes has been eliminated. The statistics concerning the consumption of moulding materials is carried out up to date, which allows the precise steering of the stock and the exact calculation of the cost of each casting. The assumed efficiency with the required margin covers the demand of the moulding shop. During the whole period of modernization the production in the foundry has not been stopped. The operators became quickly proficient in servicing the new installations under much better work conditions.
