At the present time rubber industry and markets of polymer they are obliged be searching of the new renewable resources for their products. Hence, research is focused on application and function of renewable natural sources, for example lignin, starch, cellulose in the last years. The present work was focused on the study of the influence of corn starch as a filler on properties of rubber blends based on NBR. The main goal was to find suitable amount of used corn starch in combinations with other additives of rubber compounds in order to support biodegradability and to reduce the cost of final products. The study is dedicated to the evaluation of starch content on curing characteristics and physical-mechanical properties and the observation of fillers dispersion in the rubber matrix. The corn starch was applied in natural form, and also after subsequent drying. The achieved results point out the possibilities of preparation of rubber compounds with applied corn starch in various concentration.
